When we dealt with the themes education, school and „Agenda 21″, we recognized that the Agenda – themes „ecology, economy, sozial poblems and participation of all“ should be transfered on our schoollife, too. Effective, and global learning with a future is meaningful and essential in a changing world.
It was important to fill these thoughts with life. That‘s why we developed some pojectideas and we wished a meeting point: the Agenda – Café.
This café offers the pupils healthy food of controlles biological cultivation and of fair business. In this way they can make their own experiences with this food, they can test, taste and judge it. So they can make their own judgement of the quality and the taste of this food, which often is confronted with many prejudices. By this we help ecologic cultivation . By using china and not-using throw-awayitems, we contribute to waste avoiding, we save resources and energy. These are the central themes of environmental protection and of effective managing. Our food is, pollible, neither flown-in from far-off lands, nor prefabricated, but prepared here. Cocoa, coffee, chocolate or orangejuice are of fair business and are produced without child labour. So the children learn „accidentally“ something about the correlation between their everyday-behaviour and the production of food in the third world.
